Owner Mark F. Martin,
A Halifax native has been working in the décor industry for
over 20 years. Recently Mark spent 7 years in Toronto with Silva
Custom Furniture before returning home in 2003 to open a store of
his own
In the 1980’s and 1990’s Mark managed BB Bargoons on
the East Coast for 10 years. His experiences combined with his knowledge
of the industry allowed him to spot an unfilled niche in the East
Coast market. The three level store of sophisticated contemporary
and transitional furniture – some designed by Mark - along
with the interior decorating service, make layered, modern cosmopolitan
design more accessible to Haligonians that were used to a more traditional

Shaneah (Shay for short) has been a part of the M Home team for over 2 years now. Passionate about decorating, she has a fresh and funky clean lined sense of style. Comfortable with current trends, modern or traditional, her designs tend to have classic elements.
